The line below is one of my favorites I’ve ever written and it didn’t have a single word in it. It was for an Xbox newsletter featuring a game that had codes as a gameplay mechanic. Although the client was slightly uncomfortable with it, the line turned out to be the program’s best performing subject line. Ever. With an 800,000 person large audience, the line received about 80,000 more opens than normal.
